This policy applies to orders placed through the True Black mobile application (the “App”) and our website https://trueblack.coffee (the “Website”). Because our coffee, food, and beverages are perishable and prepared fresh, returns and refunds are handled differently across our channels, as set out below.
Food and beverages ordered through the App for pickup or dine-in are perishable and prepared fresh on order. For this reason, these items cannot be returned or exchanged once prepared or collected.
Refunds are issued only where an order is rejected or cancelled by our store (for example, if an item is unavailable or the store is unable to fulfil the order). In such cases, the full amount paid is refunded to your original payment source.
You may cancel an App order only before the store accepts and begins preparing it. Once preparation has started, the order cannot be cancelled. If our store rejects your order after payment, you will be refunded in full to your source account.
No returns are accepted on opened or perishable items, including coffee and packaged consumables, for hygiene and food-safety reasons. If a perishable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos, and we will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.
Merchandise may be returned within 7 days of delivery, provided it is unused, in its original condition, and returned with all tags, packaging, the courier receipt, and the invoice. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, an eligible refund is initiated to your original payment source.
You may cancel a Website order any time before it has been shipped or dispatched. Once the order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled, though the merchandise return option above may still apply.
You can manage, pause, skip, or cancel your subscription from your account before the next billing or dispatch date. Once a subscription order has been processed or dispatched, that cycle cannot be cancelled; perishable items in a subscription are non-returnable, subject to the damaged/defective exception above.
We ship across most parts of India through reputed courier partners. Orders are typically dispatched within 24* working hours. We ship on all days except Sundays and national holidays.
Occasionally there may be unexpected delays due to logistics challenges beyond our control. True Black is not liable for such delays and requests your cooperation as we work to minimise them. We reserve the right to cancel an order at our sole discretion where delivery takes longer than usual or a shipment becomes untraceable, and to refund the amount paid for the cancelled product(s) to your source account.
